I see a rainbow!

Hello all!
I'm here with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches and this week we have a sketch for you...

I immediately thought of my Petite Petals set so I got to work and here's what I made...

I took the sketch quite literally and went for rainbow colours, just because I felt like it! I stamped the dots from Awesomely Artistic in Rose Red, stamping more than once before inking to give a softer effect. The flowers were stamped and I used the matching punch to cut them out.

The sentiment is from One Big Meaning...this is a great set for all those Thank You cards, and let's face it, we send lots right?!
The whole panel was then popped onto an A6 Rose Red card blank. Oh and I finished with a single pearl.

What will you do with our sketch I wonder?

For our Anniversary

Good morning all!
It's another lovely sunny day here, and I have already been to the gym! So before I go to work I thought I would quickly share this card I made for my lovely Mike for our first anniversary back in July...

I saw a similar card shape somewhere online and decided to try and have a go. I used Hearts Framelits to cut the shape and trimmed it so it fit together.

Now, not many of you know, but Mike and I met on Tinder and if you like the look of someone you 'swipe right', so I used this idea to create a slider card!

I stamped the words inside so they would show through the window when the slider is moved.

A piece of Windiw Sheet popped on Dimensionals holds the slider in place. I used the Hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone and Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the wording. The tiny heart is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch set.

I hope you have a lovely day and I'll see you soon! :)

Blushing Bride Birthday

Good morning and happy Monday!
I feel a bit lost for things to do today....Keiran is with his Dad for the next 2 weeks and I'm only working on 3 days....lots of time and not really sure what to do with it! I guess I will catch up in the garden, go to the gym lots and maybe even craft a little!

I'll start by sharing this card I started on Saturday and finished this morning...

I have again used Timeless Elegance DSP...it seems that once I got it out I couldn't stop using it! This time I have gently inked the rose with Blushing Bride ink to make it stand out. I embossed the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel with an old favourite embossing folder...one I'm not sure I will ever part with!

The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday but only uses the bottom part of the stamp...I inked it with a Stampin' Write Marker so that I didn't ink the part I didn't want. Again, this is punched with an old favourite! I gave my card a little sparkle with some Blushing Bride Sequin Trim and popped the who lot onto a Blushing Bride card blank using Dimensionals.

I love the soft pink with the black and Very Vanilla, don't you?

I'm adding my card to the massive celebration they have going on over at Freshly Made Sketches this week...it's their 200th challenge can you believe?!

I hope you have a great day today...the sun is shining here so I hope your day is just as sunny! :)

Happy!

Hello and happy Sunday!
I'm here today with a card that was somewhat inspired by the card I made yesterday...

I have used the stunning Timeless Elegance DSP again...I love using it with a splash of colour as I think it works so well, don't you?? In this case it's Rich Razzleberry and the swirly stamp is from Everything Eleanor.

I die cut 'happy' from the Hello You Thinlits and used our brand new super fine tipped glue, which will be available very soon....watch this space!! I finished with 'birthday' from Endless Birthday Wishes and some Rich Razzleberry Candy Dots.

Endless Wishes is one of our fab Photopolymer sentiment sets and one thing I love about them is that you can see through them so you can position your sentiment perfectly! You can order this, or any of our other products, including this yummy DSP, by clicking on my shop link just over on the right >>>>>>>>

I am entering my card into this week's challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch...

So...two cards in two days...I'm on a roll! ;)

Timeless Elegance...

Good morning LIMettes! It's been a long while since I have been up and raring to craft at this time on a Saturday, but here I am!

This week's challenge at Less Is More is a sketch...

So here I how I used it...

I used the gorgeous Timeless Elegance DSP for the top half of my card and teamed it with the beautiful and elegant Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim...isn't it lovely?? I finished with a Designer Vintage Faceted Button and some Silver Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday.

I'm off to my parents' today...hope you have a lovely weekend planned!

Awesomely Artisitc...me??

Hello everyone!
Wow it's good to be back with a DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches! I've had a few weeks off as I had some family issues and it took a fair bit of my time dealing with everything, and to be honest, I just didn't feel much like crafting.

But I'm back today with a card I made from just one stamp set...Awesomely Artistic...

I do love this set, ever since I had a play with it at Telford back in May! I've had it a while but just not had the inclination to play with it until now.

I had a little play with the 'kissing' technique on this card....I inked up the flowery stamp and then I 'kissed' it with the fern frond stamps. This gives the ferns a more subtle effect and a slightly watercolour effect. What do you think? The dragonfly was sprayed with water after inking, then stamped, which again gives a smudged, watercolour effect. Why not try it yourself?

You know, I get a lot of people comment on how 'artistic' and creative I am when they see my cards. My reply is; 'I may be creative, but I assure you, I don't have an artistic bone in my body....I just get great stamps from Stampin' Up!'

As I couldn't decide what sentiment I wanted on my card I am leaving it blank, which means I can enter it into the challenge at SUO Challenges where they would like to see cards with no sentiment this week.

I look forward to visiting you all for inspiration...I need lots at the moment after being off so long!

A little love...

Hello everyone!
How have you all been?? I know you're probably reeling with shock at seeing me blog since it's been such a while! I have had a lot of family difficulties over the last few weeks and had a lot to deal with, but I think I am slowly getting back on track now, so I thought I would share a card I made on Sunday...it was originally made for a commission but I loved it so much I made a similar version for my stall stash!

This is a wedding card and I used some printed vellum I've had in my stash for years...I think it looks gorgeous with the Real Red hearts underneath, don't you?

I added some of the beautiful Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a few Rhinestone Basics Jewels and there we have a classy and elegant wedding card!

I am entering this into the challenge at Less Is More, which has the theme 'Congratulations' this week, and also CAS on Sunday where the challenge is to use Vellum.

I hope to be back again very soon...have a lovely Tuesday! :)

This year's Teacher gifts using Watercolor Wings.

Hi everyone.
I back again this evening to share with you the teacher gifts Keiran and I made before the school holidays....

I picked up these jars from Home Bargains and filled each one with scented candles.

We then decorated the lids with DSP and Washi Tape, then added some butterflies from Watercolor Wings, die cut with the matching Framelits. The little on top was made using the Label Bracket Punch and popped up on Dimensionals.

I printed off this lovely sentiment then die cut it using one of the Chalk Talk Framelits and attached it using Stitched Satin Ribbon and Linen Thread.

They went down a treat and Keiran and I really enjoyed making them!
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Thank you and goodbye to a special stamper :(

Good morning everyone.
I'm sorry I haven't been around over the last 10 days or so....I am going through an incredibly difficult time at the moment, and I'm not crafting or functioning well in general at the moment.

This morning, however, I decided to distract myself a little by blogging a card I made a few weeks ago that I designed as thank you cards to my customers for placing orders with me...

I used the gorgeous Watercolor Wings for this, along with one of the lovely Fun Frames embossing folders.

I would also like to dedicate this card to my Stampin' Up! 'Mum', Vicky, who has sadly left SU! to concentrate on her family and other things. I would like to thank her for introducing me to Stampin' Up!, and to a beautiful CAS style of crafting. I will miss you and your anecdotes Vicky. I hope you keep well and can return to SU! one day xx
