A very pink Birthday!

Good morning!
It's Saturday! Yay I hear you say! I hope you have a fun day planned...maybe some crafting? Well if you need some inspiration to get you going, why not try our sketch at Sketch Saturday this week? It's the 5th Saturday of the month so we are having a 'free sketch' day! You can pick any of our previous sketches, but do make sure you tell us which one you went for!

So I used sketch #251 for my card...

I made this card for my friend's birthday, from her little girl. I was instructed to do 'something pink'....pink enough?? Everything is Strawberry Slush and I don't think it gets pinker do you? I used a little paper from the In Colours paper stack, and embossed a plain piece of card with stars using the cute Lucky Stars EF, which you'll find on page 30 of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue.

The sentiment, as usual, was created in MDS (so I could get true colour font) and I finished with too Bitty Butterflies punched from the stunning new Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I love it!

So which sketch will you be choosing? There are so many, why not have a few entries this week?

Have a lovely Saturday!

Bright & Beautiful on a Friday!

Good morning!
I have a lovely card to show you using the lovely new Bright & Beautiful stamp set from the brand new Autumn/Winter catalogue today!

Isn't that star just gorgeous?!! I have stamped it in Lost Lagoon, then heat embossed the sentiment from the same set in silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, after first stamping in Versamark.

You can see the embossing better here. It is really lovely and gives quite a shimmer to the card. I finished with some stars punch from Silver Glimmer paper using the punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The whole panel was then popped up on Dimensionals onto a Lost Lagoon card blank.

If you would like to order anything from any of the catalogues, please do feel free to contact me, or click on the links on my sidebar >>>>>>>>

Do you have anything planned for today? I am working, gym, then crafting some commissions, then it's the final of Got To Dance...yay!
Enjoy your Friday!

Video Tutorial for Wondrous Wreath and NEW AUTUMN/WINTER CATALOGUE!!

Helllloooo!!
Ooooh can you tell I'm excited??? Well I have a VERY good reason to be! Today sees the launch of the much anticipated Autumn/Winter catalogue, and you are going to LOVE it!!

click picture to view

To celebrate, I have a little video tutorial for you, to show you the revolutionary new way Stampin' Up! have made it even easier to line up your stamps and matching Framelits!

This is the card I have made, which I blogged last week...

It is created using a 3 step stamping technique, and uses 2 Framelits to die cut it. Now while that sounds complicated, I can promise you it isn't!

Check out my tutorial and you will see...(it's only just over 11mins long, and some of that was spent stroking the new catalogue...yes I know, I need help! ;)

Isn't the new system great?? I hope you found it easy to follow and will have a go yourself!

If you would like to order any of the items from the new catalogue, please click on the link to my online shop, over there on the right>>>>>>
or do contact me and I will be more than happy to help!

Have a lovely day and see you soon! :)

New catalogue....new home!

Good morning!
Wow where have the last few weeks gone?? I feel like I have done no real crafting, and that the summer holidays have totally flown by!

Well it is Thursday again, which means that it is time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it is a sketch...

Now I can tell that I haven't crafted for a while...my mojo seems to have legged it! But here is what I made anyway...

I do love this Holiday Home bundle in the brand new Autumn/Winter catalogue! Yes...bundle! There are matching Framelits to go with these lovely stamps! The set has pleanty in it to make some gorgeous Christmas cards, but I decided to go with the New Home theme today. I created the background using my Watercolour Painter pen and Mossy Meadow and Lost Lagoon inks. The path was stippled on using a finger dauber and Early Espresso ink.

As you may have noticed from my much earlier post today, the brand new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue is now available to order from! If your hard copy hasn't arrived from me yet, you can use the link on my sidebar to view all the new goodies, but there are lots of catalogues winging their way to my lovely customers as we speak, so watch out for the postie! ;)

I am working today, then the gym, then I hope to get some quality time back in my craftroom! See you tomorrow with another lovely Christmassy project!

Lost Lagoon Birthday Wishes

Good morning and happyban holiday Monday to all my UK friends! As usual, it is raining here, so it's a good day for crafting!

I have a card to show you that I made using the sketch over at Mojo Monday last week, but never got round to blogging it.

I have chosen a gorgeous colour scheme of Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight and sparkly silver....isn't it pretty? I do love the Silver Glimmer paper...it's soooooo sparkly!

The Butterflies are my favourite from Papillon Potpourri, and I used MDS to create the sentiment. This is a great way of getting the perfect colour match for the wording as you get to use all the Stampin' Up! colours.

I am too late to enter the challenge, but here is the sketch I used anyway...

I'm off to work now but I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sketch Saturday

Good morning Sketchy fans!
It is Saturday morning, which can mean only one thing....new sketch time!
I have used some of the gorgeous new All Bloom DSP, petite petals stamp and punch and some retired ribbon.

The sentiment was created on MDS.

I am currently sat in a tent, in a field, so I will update this post properly when I get home Sunday.
Have a lovely weekend!

Wonderous Wreath sneak peek!

Hellloooo!
Yay 2 days in a row! I have found it so hard to keep up with blogging this summer...too much work, fun and dating!

Anyway, as I promised yesterday, here is another card made using a fantastic new stamp/Framelit combo....

Isn't it gorgeous?? Told you so! This is Wondrous Wreath, a 3 step stamping technique that is actually very, very easy to do, especially with Stampin' Up!'s wonderful new photopolymer stamps! Plus, they have been designed in such a clever way that it make so very easy to line everything up, including the Framelits! I will have a little video tutorial available once the A/W catalogue is available to show you just what I mean.

I added a little Crystal Effects to the berries to give a little shine, but you could use Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details...I think that would look amazing!

EDIT: I have now filmed the tutorial, which you can see below...I'd love to know what you think!

Tomorrow it's Sketch Saturday's new challenge so please do pop back and see what I made for it.

A Blooming Birthday!

Good morning!
Ooops I'm a tiny bit late with my post for this week's CAS-Colours and Sketches challenge...I forgot today was Thursday!

Anyway, here I am and here is our challenge for this week...

This is not a colour combo I would normally think of, but once I used it I rather liked it!

I have used the lovely Flower Patch photopolymer stamps for all of this card...as they are clear as opposed to red rubber I get perfect placement all the time as I can see where I'm stamping!

The sentiment was coloured using two Stampin' Write Markers before stamping, and the flower was cut using the matching Flower Fair Framelits. I really love how the matching dies make crafting so much easier!
I finished with a Basic Rhinestone Jewel which I coloured using my Bronze pen from the Skin Tone set of Blendabilities. Oh yes, and I doodled a border too :)

I shall be back tomorrow with a card made using yet another sneak peek product from the Autumn/Winter catalogue! :)

I am now off to take Keiran to a gymnastic camp for him to have a go....he's so good at throwing himself around aimlessly that I think he'll quite enjoy doing it with some guidance!

Have a great Thursday and see you tomorrow :)

25 years of wedded bliss!

Hello crafty peeps!
How are you today? I am here, late again, with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday! I had the card made, but just didn't get round to writing up the post! So here is our sketch this week...

Anyway, I went to the silver wedding party of Mike's boss last night, so of course, I needed a suitable card. So here is what I made...

I used a few Stampin' Up! bits and a few bits from my stash to make this. I used MDS for the sentiment, The hearts are from the fabulous upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue, from the Snowflake Card Thinlit Die set, and the ribbon is the gorgeous Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

The other items are from my stash which is gradually diminishing, finally!

The card was very well received and I was even told I should've brought some business cards to hand round! Oh well...must be better prepared in the future!

So how will you interpret out sketch this week?

Thursday 14 August 2014

MERRY....yes another Christmas card!

Good morning! It's time for a new sketch this week at CAS-Colours and Sketches.

I do love a good sketch, don't you? And this is a perfectly CAS one from Patricia!

So let's see what I did with it...

I decided to rotate the sketch for this card, as I wanted to use this sentiment and it fits better this way!

Oh did you see something new?? Well spotted!! I have used a new sneak peek item from the fabby new Autumn/Winter catalogue! This stamp set is called Seasonally Scattered and it also has a Thanks and a Love sentiment.

Here is a closer look at the sentiment, which I heat embossed using Pool Party Embossing power onto Bermuda Bay card stock.

After I heat embossed it, I added some Iridescent Ice and re-heated it, just for a little sparkle. I paper pierced the edges using the Paper Piercing Essential pack and Piercing Tool, then added my fussy cut 'Christmas' which is from the new Endless Wishes sentiment set. I finished with a few self adhesive Rhinestone Basics Jewels. The panel is popped up onto a strip of super sparkly Silver Glimmer Paper using Dimensionals.

I feel like I'm on a roll with Christmas cards now...hopefully it will continue!
Have a fabby Thursday and see you tomorrow :)

Wednesday 13 August 2014

Snowflake Flip card!

Good morning!
I am continuing the Christmas theme this morning...do I here an 'oh no!!!' ? Haha well I have to get started sometime! ;)

For this card, I have used the fabby new Snowflake Card Thinlit Dies to make this wonderful flip card.

I embossed the right side of the card using the Festive Flurry EF, and added die cut words from the Framelit set. The sentiment in the middle is stamped onto a punched out Artisan Label, using the

The snowflakes are cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper, as are the words. I finished by colouring a gem using a Coastal Cabana Blendablilities...how amazing does it look??!!

I haven't entered any challenges for a while, so I am entering this into a couple....

I hope to show more samples from the Autumn/Winter catalogue this week! Enjoy your Wednesday!

Autumn/Winter Sneak Peek for Sketch Saturday!

Hello hello!
I am here, (a bit late, but better late than never!) with my Sketch Saturday DT card. And here's an exciting bit...I have made my card using a sneak peek stamp set! And it is a 'aherm' Christmas card!

Let's have a look shall we?

This gorgeous little Santa is from the brand new, not yet available, Get Your Santa On...isn't he cute?? I coloured him with my wonderful Blendabilities pens.

The DSP is a retired one from last year, Season of Style, but it is now available on MDS...yay!

I feel like Christmas is on it's way now, after the weather we have had today...stay safe all of you who are experiencing this awful weather!
See you tomorrow!

Thursday 7 August 2014

Hello Love!

Hello everyone!
Wow! School holidays really do mess with blogging! And I haven't even had Keiran this week as he's with his Dad! I have, however, taken the opportunity to work some overtime, and spend some quality 1-2-1 time with my man, which has been wonderful!

I have managed to make my card for this week's challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches thought, and this month is Jacqueline's turn to set our challenges. Here is the first...

Now I must admit, I have kind of let my heart rule this one! I made this card entirely with my Mike in mind (please don't puke lol!!!)

I really love these colours together...they make for a manly card! I have used the lovely Hostess set, Hello Love, and I coloured it using my Stampin' Write Markers. I coloured the background cloud in Night of Navy, stamped off once, then coloured the rest of the stamp before stamping onto my Very Vanilla cardstock.

I embossed a strip of hearts across my Cherry Cobbler cardstock using a retired border EF, then layered it all onto a Night Of Navy card blank. The solid hearts were then filled with Crystal Effects for some dimension. The whole card is a very cute 10cm square.

I love this cute card and sometime soon it will find it's way to Mike's with a suitable soppy message inside I'm sure! ;)

Have a fantastic Thursday!

MDS meets Papillon Potpourri

Good morning!
I would like to give a big hello to my newest follower, Sid! Thank you for joining me on my crafty journey!

I have a lovely day planned today...I am working til 2pm then I have my friend Laura's wedding to go to, and I even have a plus one! ;)

But before all that, it's time for our new sketch at Sketch Saturday, and this week it has been designed by Laura...

So I used this sketch to make another commission card...

I also used my 'go to' girly papers from Twitterpated (available on MDS), and butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

I printed the sentiment in MDS and embossed the panel with the Beautiful Baroque EF. I finished with die cut numbers from a retired die.

Right...off to work now...have a wonderful Saturday!
