Less Is More

Good morning LIMettes!
Well I have a relaxing weekend ahead of me for a change! Well, sort of! I have a special friend here from Spain so I shall be showing him the sites of Bolton! lol!
But I did quickly have time to make this for this week's Less Is More challenge which is to use their header as inspiration!

I chose to use the music part of it. The notes are cut using a Die-Namics (I think) die, and the sentiment is computer generated.
Simples!
If you have never entered this challenge, pop over to Chrissie and Mandi's fab challenge blog, have a go and become a LIMette!
Right, I'm off! Have a fab Saturday!

Christmas In June!

Good afternoon!
Well it seems ages since I crafted in the afternoon, but I got that chance yesterday while Keiran watched a dvd! And here is what I made...

Yup...a Christmas card! Well the title did give it away lol!
This is Aurelia Joy from Pollycraft...isn't she pretty? I have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are some random strips I had in my DP box...sorry, no idea what they are. I inked the edges of them with Seafoam Versacolour to make them stand out a little, as I didn't want to cut a whole new sheet of matching background card! I then added lots of glitter and gems. Oh and the sentiment is a free Polka Doodles one from a mag last Christmas.

Oh one last thing...when I had put the card together and picked it up to admire it and take a photo, I had stuck it all on the wrong way so it was a backwards card! I had originally made the card to the actual layout of the sketch but I had to turn the image so the card could be opened lol! Of course, now the papers are all sideways but what can you do! I was going to cut the card in half and re-mount the entire front panel onto a new card blank, but I decided it didn't look too bad...

Challenges

Ok...gym time! :)

My card...

I chose to use this image from Lili Of The Valley as I went for patriotic for my card. I was kind of hoping that England would still be in the Euro Championships when I posted this card, but not to be....as usual! ;) I coloured my image with Promarkers and Polychromos. The background was created using a football stamp free from Craft Stamper magazine a couple of months ago.
Now this is a 'different' card, but I can't show you why for a few weeks....keep popping back! ;)

Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing your creations!

Sketch Saturday #213

Good morning!
I love Saturday mornings...it means it's time for a new challenge at Sketch Saturday!
This week we are sponsored by

Here is my card

This lovely image is Canary Love from Saturated Canary, and I have coloured her with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils for shading and depth. The papers are Jen's...can't remember the name, sorry! They have a lovely sparkle to them, and I also added glitter to the heart and the flower in her hair.

Here is the sketch we are challenging you to use this week...

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Ooh La La - Mystical Magic

Good evening all!
Opps I'm so late with my Ooh La La DT post today! I forgot all about it! :/
But better late than never...here it is!

This week our theme is
MYSTICAL MAGIC

I have used Regeneration off the Dreams of Tranquility cd for the papers and image. The only non-Ooh La La items are the sentiment, butterfly, metal corner and doily.

Challenges

Ok...things to do...
Goodnight!

Jen's Birthday card!

Hello all!
I am here today to share the card I have made for Jen's birthday! Now as most of you will know, she loves crafting, especially colouring, and she has taught me most of what I know about it! So when I saw this image, I just knew it was perfect for her card this year! :)

This is the gorgeous Colour Me Wonderful from Saturated Canary!
I have coloured her with Promarkers and used Polychromo pencils to soften and texturise her hair, after I coloured it using only fine nibs on my PM's. It takes ages to do this way, but it really gives a natural look!
Now the interesting thing is that I printed the image in 'draft' setting on my printer, so I only have very soft outlines to the image. I have tried it once before, and after seeing a challenge to do just that this week, I thought I'd try it again! I really love how it looks! It has a much softer, more realistic look to it. I suspect I will be trying this more often! :)
The papers are Spring Jubilee by Pink Paislee...magazine freebies I think. The butterflies are Martha Stewart and the lace is from my stash.
I didn't actually mean for this to be quite so pink as it's not Jen's favourite colour, but there you go...hope she likes it anyway!

Thanks for popping by for a peak! :)

A Baby Girl's Pram

Here is a little something I started working on at Jen's on Saturday, and I've finally got around to finishing it! I first saw this gorgeous pram on Julie's blog and she had the link to the template and tutorial over on Katie's Blog. I fell in love and just had to have a go!

All the papers are Pink Petticoat, the sentiments are Lili of The Valley, stamped and heat embossed with Sea Foam WOW EP, and the butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch.

Challenges

I hope you like it....it's a little different for me lol!

Rosie With Cake

Good evening!
I am back after a fab couple of days with my family...my brother, SiL and nephew are visiting from London and myself and Keiran have spent the last 2 days visiting Windmill Farm in Burscough and Tropical World and Roundhay Park in Leeds. We've had stunning weather and 2 really lovely days! I have, however, been ever so slightly freaked out by lots of mice, bats and a spider the size of my hand!!

Anyway, back to what I love...my cards! Here is one I made in a hurry for a last minute order.

This is adorable Rosie With Cake from Lili of The Valley and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The paper is MME I think, and the flourish is Dienamics.

Challenges

Thanks for popping by...see you soon! :)

Join Your Hands...

Hello!
Here is another entry into the Less Is More - Something Shiny challenge.

I have used the Marry Me stamp set from Stampin Up. I stamped the couple in Stazon ink, deliberately stamping the Groom with more ink to give the Bride a more subtle look. The silver back panel just happened to be in my Mirri folder, already cut out so that used some stash! :) I finished with a little glitter on the veil and pearls and gems.

Other Challenges

Thanks for looking! :)
Goodnight!

Colourful Ava!

Good evening all!
I don't want to jump the gun, or presume too much just yet, but I think my Mojo has finally returned!!
Here is a card I made tonight using my new technique, which this time I intend to stick to lol! I chose my image, then chose my papers, then coloured my image to match...the card came together far easier than usual!

Isn't she beautiful?! She is Ava from Saturated Canary and I've coloured her with Promarkers, and Faber Castell pencils for shading and depth. The papers are the Beach Babe stack, free with this month's Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, the flowers are Prima,
the Baker's Twine from the Ribbon Girl, and ribbon is from my stash. I finished with a little Glossy Accents on the balloon and her eyes.

Challenges

Thanks for stopping by, and please keep visiting to make sure my Mojo is still around!

Less Is More - Something Shiny!

Good morning LIMettes!
I hope this damp British summer gives all you British crafters an excuse to get more crafting done....like you need one eh?! ;)

Oh and congrats to our English football team last night! I really thought we had lost it but they came back fighting! :))

Ok so here is my card for Less Is More this week...

The tag is from Stampin Up! from the Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess set, and I have stamped with Emboss clear and embossed with WOW Amber Rose. The rest is just from my stash :)

Hope you like it and I really hope to get more crafting done soon....just have an awful lot going on at the moment...

Bye for now!
