1st Birthday wishes

This card was made for a little girl's 1st birthday. The image is Rosie with Cake from Lili of the Valley and I coloured it with my trusty promarkers. I matted it with Nestabilities Labels Ten, added some ribbon, swirls and card candy and finished with the number 1 and her name, cut out with my Craft Robo. I have entered this card into A Spoon Full of Sugar Birthday Wishes challenge

Baby's 1st Christmas cross stitch penny slider card

I did this card for my friend to give to her Granddaughter on her first Christmas. The pattern was in a cross stitch magazine (if anyone wants to know which, please contact me and I'll dig it out for you!). Once stitched, I mounted it into a frame made with nestabilities. I made a penny slider mechanism and attached the design. If you gently rock the card from side to side, the horse rocks!

Cross stitch Wedding

This was a cross stitch card I did for a friend's wedding back in 2009. The pattern came out of a cross stitch magazine...if anyone wants to know which one, contact me and I will hunt it out for you!

Debbi Moore Birthday

This card was a card I was asked to make for a friend to give to her Sister-in-Law for her birthday. I used an 8x8 card blank from Hunkey Dorey. Using Debbi Moore's Glitter and Glitz cd ROM I printed the image and background papers, created a frame and layered them together. Then I cut a diagonal cross in the top layer and folded it back, creating the opening and revealing the elegant lady. I finished with printed sentiments and four gems.

Baby Boy's Christening

I made this christening card using the Christening Baby stamp from LotV. I coloured it in (list below) and die cut it using the large oval from Spellbinders Petite Ovals Lrge, and chalked the edge in blue. I embossed a piece of Coredinations card with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded to reveal the colour. I then realised that my blue ribbon, blue flower, blue star and the blue cross were all the WRONG shades of blue!! So rather than have to re-think the card or re-colour the image, I decided to try re-colouring the embellishments (from my stash) with a promarker, and it worked!
List of Promarkers
Sky Blue (embellishments and image)
Shale (window frame) to do the inner frame, I touched the blender pen to the shale pen and gently worked the colour onto the image
Pear Green (leaves)
Cool Grey (highlighting and edges)
Gold (window) I used the same technique for the inner of the window as I used for the inner frame.
Coral + Putty (skin)
I have enter this card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge.

My first twisted easel card!

Well here's my first ever twisted easel card that I made for my best friend Sarah to welcome her new beautiful baby daughter, Rhona Mavis. The stamp is from Little Claire Designs which I bought from the show at the NEC last year. I knew Sarah had chosen giraffes and yellow and grean for her nursery so the card had to match! I got the daffodils from the Hobbycraft wedding range and printed the greeting before die-cutting it with the smallest circle from my nesties circles lge set. The gorgeous ribbon is from my local Habiknit store. Sarah and Richard loved the card!

First blog challenge!

Here is my first entry to a blog challenge for Lili of the Valley's Circles challenge. The stamp is Deckchair dreaming and I have made it into a retirement card. I've used Promarkers to colour it in, though I put them away before noting which I used! Sorry :(  I will try to remember next time. The background paper is just some card from my stash, and I criss-crossed it using my eaziscore board. I wrote 'Happy Retirement' on the hands of the clock and finished with a printed greeting and some card candy. Thanks for looking!

My first post

Well here is my first post and my first card! The stamp is a Lili of the Valley stamp called 'Me and my pony'. It was one of the first stamps I've ever bought as I was terrified of colouring in my own images! I couloured it in with watercolour pencils as I couldn't afford Promarkers at the time! Now I wouldn't be without them!
